Your Home Business Opportunity, MLM Or Online Venture: You Get What You Pay For

published on November 14th, 2008 . by admin

Unfortunately for some, the lure of the word "free" is just too great.  I guess it’s probably human nature that we seek out something for nothing, trying to make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear.  In reality, there really is no such thing as free, if you realize that you need to be measuring the value of your home business opportunity, mlm or other online venture in terms other than money.

We need to take a closer look at this concept of free. The opportunities are endless, and there are more being created on a daily basis.  While most of us will look at the savings we make when an opportunity is free, have you considered what your time is worth?  I’m sure you’ve heard the saying "time is money", we’ll the internet has given that saying a whole new meaning.

When you get to a certain stage with your home business opportunity,  you come to realize that time is your most precious commodity, and it tends to attract a much higher value than it does when you start out on your online journey. Your time commands even more value and respect than money, as you look for ways to outsource your everyday tasks in order to spend your time on money gathering tasks. The time you are spending on the free stuff is time you aren’t spending on the things that will line your pockets.

Make sure also that the program you decide to go with has a marketing system in place.  You’ve got no idea how important this is.  I can give you an example though.  Do you really think that McDonald’s makes the best hamburgers in the world?  Me neither, but wouldn’t you just love to own their marketing system!  McDonald’s is a prime example of proof that its the system that works, not the program (or the product, in McDonald’s example).

Make sure that any program you are considering to make money online has a marketing system that compliments the program and fits seamlessly into the tasks that need to be done. You can check out a proven marketing system that has been responsible for the success of thousands of online entrepreneurs creating their very own residual income home business. After all, what if  I’m right?

Moms Business – The 3 Secrets to Creating a Thriving Business While Still Having a Life

published on November 7th, 2008 . by admin

Moms business – Is it really possible to successfully be a mom and a business owner? I mean, being a mom is already a fulltime job. Try adding a new business into the mix, many times while still working another job, and you can get burned out before you even get started!

But it can be done. I know women who have 3,4 even 5 home schooled children, and run a successful home based business making over 100,000/year.(Yes, that’s a plural – there are more than one that I know doing this!) Their businesses have reached a point where they only have to work an hour or so a day to sustain that level of income.

It is possible!

So, how did they do it? Here is what I have learned from these amazing women about creating a successful moms business:

1. Truly believe, with all your heart, that you can do this. Ask any successful work at home moms - business success came only after they mentally prepared themselves for it. Self limiting beliefs can doom a business before you even open. For example, if you have an unconscious belief that you’re not worthy of success, you’ll sabotage your own efforts for success, without even realizing that you’re doing it. Likewise, you’ll be amazed at how fast the cash starts rolling in when you break though your limiting beliefs and truly start believing in yourself, your worth and your abilities.

2. Stay focused. Your time is extremely precious. You must stay laser focused on what will bring you results quickly. Money is a great motivator! You want to hone in on the 3 most things you can do today that will bring you the most immediate sales. Once you have accomplished these, you can move on to secondary tasks.

For example, checking your email is not going to bring you an immediate sale. Writing and submitting a press release will. Filing papers will not. Going to an after hours networking event will. Always do the 3 most important marketing tasks on your list each day.

3. Work smarter, not harder. Again, as a mom in business, your time is limited. You want to educate yourself on ways you can accelerate your success. In other words, you want to avoid the time consuming learning curves a new business brings. One of the best ways to do this is to find a mentor who has achieved the success you’re seeking. Someone who has already made the mistakes, learned the lessons, and can share their wisdom with you.

Many of the well accomplished mentors may be out of your budget but you only need to find someone one step ahead of you to achieve great results. You can also join forums and network with others who are working to create the same success as you. Moms Mastermind, for example is a wonderful resource and forum for networking AND gaining advice from other work at home moms.

A successful moms business is not only possible, it’s highly probable given the right mindset and focus.
