Best Work at Home Business Idea - The Secret To Finding the Perfect One For You

published on December 10th, 2008 . by admin

I’ve been a member of Mom Masterminds for almost a year now. It’s a great group of  moms who support and help each other grow their businesses. Though I’ve been too busy to be very active in the forums (something I plan to change in the new year),  every time I pop in I’m reminded of why I love the membership.

The women there are passionate about what they do! They are passionate about helping other women, and making a difference. Their business is a direct reflection of their core values and beliefs. They found the secret to success!

See, the best work at home business idea is one that you can get excited about!  One that makes you eager to start your day, and stay focused on your goals.  It’s where your heart is, where your life has led you, where you can make a difference.

For instance, Samantha Gregory has built a business helping single moms. Her blog,  http://richsinglemomma.com was created out of a desire to see single moms thrive, and as a way to motivate each one to pursue their dreams. As a single mom myself, I love the concept of her blog and the dedication behind it. Her passion shines through in every post!

Even in these trying economic times, it is possible to build a business around something you love.

Another shining example of this is Brenda Adelman. Her father murdered her mother, and then married her aunt within months. At first she was devastated, and stayed mired in self pity and grief. But finally she began to heal. Now she teaches workshops, and mentors others on how to forgive and move on with their life.

Your life lessons can be a great key to finding the best work at home business idea for you.

Deb Holder is another inspirational story. She fell in love with writing when she was very young.  Throughout her career in mental health, she still had a secret passion for the written word. She went back to school, got her Masters in English, and now works from home making a living as a writer. She has combined her passion for helping people with her love of writing, and specializes in self-help copywriting. She also has a great blog called debt-free-mom.com which helps moms break free from the shackles of debt.

The best work at home business ideas are usually ones that center around your true talents and gifts.

As a mentor to aspiring work at home moms, the question of the best work at home business idea for my clients is one of the most frequent that I get. The answer for them, as it is for you, begins with looking inside of yourself for the answer.

The most passionate business women I’ve met, in Mom Masterminds and elsewhere, also tend to be the most successful.

Great Business Idea For Stay At Home Moms

published on October 28th, 2008 . by admin

You’ve given up your job to stay at home, and now you wonder where the money is going to come from to pay the bills. You see prices escalating and you feel helpless not bringing in any extra money for your family. Maybe, you can run a home based business, you think. But, the problem is that you have no idea what to do. You need a business idea for stay at home moms.

Are there any businesses you can run from your home, which won’t take all your time, and will pay you more than a few measly dollars? Yes, there are. All you need is that one idea to get you started. But, that’s the problem! Where do you get that single idea from? How do you know if you will be able to earn from that idea?

One of the first question to ask is what did you do before you were a stay at home mom, and are you able to continue to use those skills in your new business?

One of the areas that people forget to look at are the skills they had in the business world, and how they can now use them to run their own business. You might be able to become a freelancer for your old company, but what if you could use that skill and offer it to many different companies?

You should take that one skill and look at how you can develop it into a business. What about other similar businesses in your neighborhood, would they benefit from your expertise? Then, you should start to think in the wider realm, could there be companies in the online world that could also use your skills?

As you take a business idea, you need to start your circle of contacts near your home, and then build out from there. Imagine if you could offer that skill to thousands of different companies. Now, before you panic, there will be a time when you have to outsource or employ other people. If you don’t take an idea and develop it, then you will remain wondering what you could be doing, and you’ll never know the answer to the question.

The business idea for stay at home moms will be different for every mom, but the principle at looking at your work skill is the same for everybody. Look at what you know, and how you can develop it into a business. For some people that will be to go online and develop a business, for others they will look at local businesses, and offer their services and skills to them. But, whatever you decide to do, it all starts with a single business idea. That idea will spark a lot of different ways to earn money from it. Testing each step will show the potential of the business, and sometimes you will need to make changes to get a better business running. But, remember it all starts with an idea, and you need to find that idea, and build from there.
